MAPE-K

MAPE-K organises adaptive behaviour as Monitor, Analyse, Plan and Execute, connected by shared Knowledge.

Monitoring collects declared signals from the synthetic scenario. Analysis interprets those signals against goals, thresholds and prior evidence. Planning selects a bounded response and records the rationale. Execution applies that response inside the experiment. Knowledge holds the models, provenance, observations and reviewed learning needed by every stage.

The loop is valuable because it separates noticing from interpreting, and interpreting from acting. Experiments can therefore reveal whether a failure arose from missing signals, a poor frame, an unsuitable plan or weak execution. Deterministic seeds allow a team to repeat a run and compare one controlled change at a time.

Within this programme, MAPE-K is descriptive and experimental. It does not command live clinical, personal-account, manufacturing, emergency or consequential systems. Any learned delta remains a proposal until an explicit, attributable promotion record accepts it.
